Hey guys,
So I know in previous posts I said I was trying to keep posting more regularly and have not kept to this but this is due to again more college work and more things happening over the week. So today I am going to reveal probably one of the cheapest anti meta decks going around. Thats right Space Ships Wooooop !! Ok so let's get started.
Ok so first let me clarify this is basically my version of the build that topped SJC Nashville. Most numbers and cards are the same but some are different due to a new format and new ban list
[3] Shining Angel
[3] Blue Thunder T 45
[2] Lord British Space Fighter
[2] Victory Viper XX03
[2] Jade Knight
[2] Honest
[2] Cyber Dragon
[1] Morphing Jar
[1] Sangan
[3] Book Of Moon
[2] Creature Swap
[2] Enemy Controller
[2] Smashing Ground
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Limiter Removal
[1] Giant Trunade
[1] Heavy Storm
[2] Dark Bribe
[2] Royal Oppression
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Solemn Judgment
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force
Ok so that's the list so now lets try and explain some key cards.
The first key card is Shining Angel. Recruiters were big last format and are just as good this format. Shining Angel essentially can defend you or poke for little amount of damage, however where it really shines (get it Shining Angel ..... Shine) anyways yea where it shines is that it can search nearly any monster in this deck. It can allow us to search for a Space Ship ready for the following turn or even get Honest, meaning a big push for damage next turn.
Ok so now onto the Space Ships. Obviously Blue Thunder T 45 is played in 3's. Originally I played 3 Jade Knight and only 2 Blue Thunder but this deck does need a stable attacker and thats just what Blue Thunder T 45 does. Giving us free tokens we can swap away or even use for more damage is just too good. Along with that we next have Lord British Space Fighter and Victory Viper XX03. These pare are great as they can not only get us tokens but much more. Lord British can destroy face downs, attack again or give us that token we all love so much. Victory Viper XX03 can gain 400 atk or net a free token and if you happen to be playing a deck such as Six Samurai or any deck with face up spells or traps it can destroy those aswell. Jade Knight obviously can be used with Creature Swap, used for stall power, poke for little damage and then get us a new Space Ship.
Ok now onto spells. The spells basically allow us more control. Book Of Moon and Enemy Controller both do really well in this deck. They can be used defensivly or aggressivly to gain the upper hand on the opponent. Enemy Controller allows the tokens to be abused. One of my favourite combo's is to gain a token from a Space Ship then Enemy Controller it to take their monster such as Shura or Bora and then Creature Swap the Shura for their Armor Master. Pretty sneaky and not all that hard to pull off.
Ok the traps. Originally I wanted to use Dimensional Prison but after testing I found it was never really needed. The Dark Bribe's help us maintain those important back row's and also to stop those pesky Whirlwinds early game. Oppression is a mixed card this format. Amazing in the Gladiator Beast matchup and most others but a fail against Blackwing, however it is easily sided for those great traps known as Trap Hole. Finally we have our basic staples.
So thats the basic idea of the deck and the combo's. Simply put Yu-Gi-Oh has always been seen as an expensive game for the competetive player, but it seems more people are willing to fight this common conception of the game. This is one of the cheapest, fun and most competetive decks I have played and i reccomend it for all to try.
Now a quick up date on my happenings. I will be attending the Beeston Regional in Nottingham hoping to be one of the top 8 and win the X Saber Mat (mainly for my Friend). Once again the Gadgets will be played and hopefully a better day shall ensue. Anyways other than that I have almost finished 'blinging' out the Crystal Beast Deck I have.
Also be sure to check my Youtube Channel. I am determined during the Easter Period (next week and the following 2 weeks) that I get video's on my channel.
Once again I am sorry for not posting for a long time and hope you can all forgive me.

Regional Qualifier 07/03/10
Ok so I basically got up in the morning got a phone call from friends asking if I had stuff. I then drive down to the tournament hall and see people already preparing deck lists and side decks. I already did mine so I looked what they were playing and all I could say was RANDOM !!! After a few minutes a few more of my friend's arrive and we start testing. I test with my friend Elliot who was playing Blackwing. I basically kept gaining advantage while he struggles to find monsters in all the games we played but we hoped it was just against me he had bad luck. My friend Dan tests against my other friend Ryan's Gladiator Beast. Dan was playing Synchro Cat. A modified version of what he was playing at Lecister yesterday (which got 2nd). So after meeting with everyone and trading for a Yellow HL Gadget we see the pairings for round 1.
Round 1
Gadgets Vs Warrior Synchro
Game 1: He stalls with swords and tries to use Black Rose Dragon which I play Starlight Road. Swords is gone and i push with all Gadgets and Solemn Judgment his Draining Shield.
Game 2: He starts roughly the same. We basically keep setting monsters and eventually I Storm his backrow and start attacking. He stalls behind Marshmallon, I then top Smashing Ground. He plays Gorz later which I Lightning Vortex and he scoops moments later.
Round 2
Gadgets Vs Gadgets
Game 1: He is playing Dyna Gadget and I'm playing my build. I basically have bigger beaters and defense and win
Game 2: He wins due to an all monster hand
Game 3: I start off really well and keep it going. He decides to Caius my facedown D.D Assailant and I D Prison his Caius. He scoops after I drop a Doomcaliber Knight.
Round 3
Gadgets Vs Blackwings
Game 1: So basically putting it simply this game toke forever. I play my Gadgets and Stun monsters until eventually he tops a Sirocco with 2 Whirlwind's in hand and I lose.
Game 2: I basically open ok but he forces a lot of plays from me. I can't top a monster and when i do it's a Cyber Dragon which basically get's bottomless'd and I scoop.
Round 4
Gadgets Vs Hopeless Dragon
Game 1: He basically opens terrible and I open really good. I keep pushing for damage with the Gadgets and eventually force him to scoop after putting out 2 Gadgets, Thunder King Rai Oh and Doomcaliber Knight.
Game 2: He opens much better and I open similiar to game 1. He tries to do all this special summoning but he fails as I have an Oppression. He then tries to push with Storm but I have Starlight Road. A few turns later he scoops after getting bad draws
Round 5
Gadgets Vs Lightsworn
Game 1: I open really well and shut off all his cards. He torrential's and I play Starlight Road. He scoops later as he has no plays with 5 cards in hand.
Game2: I open terrible. He opens really well and I see he plays a Zombie Engine. After lots of drawing and playing 1 for 1 removal I scoop after drawing only 2 monsters in the game.
Game 3: I open similiar to Game 1. He opens much better and starts to win. I bring advantage back with my Smashing Grounds and then Doomcaliber forces a Mezuki play. After this he slowly gains advantage and I am Top Decking. He gets a Thunder King and a Goblin Zombie on field. I mill a card and then top a Gorz. I play Gorz and my Gadget. He has Honest and I lose.
Round 6
Gadgets Vs Gladiator Beast
Game 1: He opens really well I forget i have Dimensional Prison on my backrow and let a Laquari go through. He tags out which i flip Oppression and he plays MST. I then wait and he gets Bestiari. I top Storm and then play Cyber Dragon and Gadget. He then attacks and get's Darius and makes Gyzarus to which I play Starlight Road. A turn later he scoops up his cards.
Game 2: Similiar to game 1 however I play Smashing Ground, summon a second Gadget and then Starlight Road after he tries to Torrential. With only 2 cards in hand and nothing to set he scoops.
Round 7
Gadgets Vs Lightsworn
Game 1: I open really well. He Gold Sarc's his Judgment. I slow play and put out Thunder King the turn before Judgment is going to come out. He basically tries to play around by getting Catastor which I negate. He then plays Judgment Dragon and attacks. I play Smash and a Gadget and he scoops
Game 2: He basically sacks me with a Wulf and Celestia and I draw into Gadgets
Game 3: I drop Gorz mid game he tries to Celestia it and I have Starlight Road. I basically ask him if he can stop 4 attacks and he says no and scoops.
So thats the day. 5-2. There were 9 qualifying spots and i got 9th which is respectable for Gadgets. Plus I expected a much bigger amount of people playing Gladiator or if there were more I never played them. Either way thats the day and I'm qualified for nats so now can chill and relax.
This was the main deck I played at the Qualifier
2 Red Gadget
2 Yellow Gadget

New Skill Drain Plants
Hey Guys I'm back today this time with a new version of the famous Skill Drain Plant Deck.
So this deck was originally made in Japan by Satoshi Kato and was designed to counter all the Synchro Cat decks. This then went on to win the 2009 National Championships. This was a great idea which led many TCG players to net deck the build while changing a few cards to suit TCG and their style. This today is the newest version of the deck which i have built and tested and all I can say is WOW. The decks draws really well and really makes the opponent worry. The fact this deck plays so many beaters and so many great stun monsters makes them wonder what they actually can do.
3 Beast King Barbaros
3 Doomcaliber Knight
3 Thunder King Rai Oh
2 Tytannial Princess Of Camellias
2 Lonefire Blossom
2 Cyber Dragon
2 Dandylion
3 Book Of Moon
3 Smashing Ground
2 Trade In
2 Pot Of Avarice
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Brain Control
1 Heavy Storm
2 Skill Drain
2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Call Of The Haunted
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
Ok so what does this deck try and achieve. Putting it simply having high attack monsters with great effect that dont get hurt by Skill Drain. The deck utilizes Dandylion aswell serving as defense using it's tokens, however also allowing easy Barbaros plays aswell as Tytannial summons.
So this deck is fast and aggressive. I did test Royal Oppression and had good results with it so it is currently in the side board but can easily be placed in the main. Either way this deck has a great feel to it and can easily beat the top tier decks of this format.
Hope you enjoy this post and as always message me for more information.

P.S If you wish to main Oppression my thoughts would be to remove the Storm and Solemn for them as Storm is now worse due to the release of Starlight Road.

Sorry Guys For The Late Post But I'm Back Now !!
Hey guys, HuntikYugiohFan back again with a quick apology and update.
Ok so recently my studies have caught up with me a little and I needed to get them sorted as it is my last year at college before university meaning my work has to be top notch. Anyways more on topic of Yu-Gi-Oh, this past weekend I was able to test my new Gadget build I'm using for the up and coming qualifier on Sunday the 7th March. Hopefully with this new build and side deck, I should be able to get my invite along with some video footage. Hopefully I will be able to start uploading frequent videos again on my yugitube channel, aswell as all that I will also do a tournament report for you guys to let you know how I did and to make up for the lack of posts this week.
Along with my Gadget deck I also decided I would make either Crystal Bound, a deck focused on using the Crystal Beast engine and field spell to not only swarm the field and pull of crazy combo's using Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins but also dropping a big Earthbound Immortal limiting the opponents plays. For more information on this deck I recommend checking out LightGrunty's channel or I would re - build my Absolute Zero Deck. I also had thoughts about a Machiner Deck but after long and hard thoughts I felt I wouldn't get the enjoyment I would want from it. At the moment it is unclear as to which I would make, however it is clear to me that Gadgets will be my main.
So what have I got in store for my channel and this blog from now. Well with more free time on my hands I should be able to get videos more often meaning a better viewing pleasure for people who wish to view the video's on my channel. I will also be making a video of the regional event and hopefully get an interview with some of the players and possibly either the winner or top 8 participants. Not only that (bet you wish i had more weeks off now), but I'll also be doing a tournament report of the day. I'm not sure yet but this may be a blog entry and a video, however with only an hour to film, it may not be possible to film that. Either way your going to be getting a lot of cool stuff this next week and even more in my usual daily blog post.
Once again guy's sorry for not posting this past week and hope I can make it up to you with all this great stuff up and coming.

Trap Hole. Say Whaaaaaaat !!!!
Hey guys HuntikYugiohFan here once again with a new blog post. Today I want to talk about one of the best side deck cards in the game currently. That's right, Trap Hole.
Ok so recently I built my Gadget deck and felt it needed more removal in the Blackwing and Gladiator Beast matchup and I noticed one common thing with both these decks. They both like to attack in order to win. They both need a monster on field on use their cards. Examples of these cards are Icarus Attack, Gladiator Beast War Chariot, Black Whirlwind and many more. So how could I remove their monster while not losing much in other matchups and that when it hit me, Trap Hole.
Trap Hole destroys a summoned monster with over 1000 atk and sends it to the graveyard. This means that not even the pesky Blackwing Gale The Whirlwind or Gladiator Beast Retiari are safe. By maining a pair of Trap Hole's you can prevent Black Whirlwind searches, Gladiator Beast War Chariot plays and all the other annoying cards both these decks have to offer.
In my opinion this is also a great card in other decks, not just Gadgets. So start dusting off those side decked Trap Hole's and put them in their rightful spot in your main deck and believe me you won't regret it.

How To Prepare For A Yugioh Tournament
Hi guys HuntikYugiohFan here.
So recently lots of people in Yugitube and the various Yu-Gi-Oh forums have been talking about how to prepare for a tournament. So here is just a few tips and pointers for you when preparing to go to a tournament whether it be a local, regional or national event.
Firstly make sure you have your deck. On the topic of your deck makes sure you have the legal minimum amount required (40 cards). Make sure the sleeves you are using to protect your cards are of decent condition and are not different in anyway. This could be that 1 sleeve has a mark on the back or is a slightly different size or colour. Also make sure you also have your side deck sorted for the tournament. Nothing worse than not being able to side against those pesky match ups.
Obviously when going to a tournament you need a few supplies. This is what I like to take:
1) Deck Box containing deck, tokens, extra deck and side deck as well as extra sleeves just in case any of your main deck ones break or get damaged.
2) Pen and Paper. This may be supplied by your tournament but I take some anyways.
3) Calculator. This can be used to helo you with your calculations
4) A Drink. Tournaments can be quite long and may not supply food or drink so be prepared. Nothing worse than playing with an empty stomach and not being able to concentrate.
5) A Dice and a coin. This is usually good to have to decide who goes first. Not only that but also some cards require these.
6) English copies of foreign cards in your deck especially at locals. A lot of players may not know what cards do and it is your responsobility to be able to provide an english copy for the player to read.
7) Playmat. Playing on tables isn't all that great for your sleeves nor your cards so buy a playmat to keep your cards in tip top shape along with your sleeves.
8) Hand Sanatizer. This is something I think some people dont think about but remember it isn't just you handling your cards. You may wish to use this after you have eaten or offer it to another player. This usually doesn't cost that much and will again protect your sleeves and cards.
9) Trade Binder And Money. Always have spare cash just in case you need something such as sleeves or cards people are selling. It's also good just in case you need anything such as food or travel money.
So this is kind of a basic guide to what I think can help you prepare for a tournament. Another thing i would make sure is you know the rulings and working behind your deck as well as expected decks you are going to play. This not only saves time but also doesn't make you look like an idiot when playing.
So hope this helps people with their preperation for tournaments. Again guys anyone who wants any cards, decks or anything reviewed on myblog then please feel free to contact me.

Ok so as you can see this is Oppression Gadget with a lot of removal and defense. So what was I thinking when i built this. Well i thought about Blackwing and Gladiator Beast and how they have low defense, which led me to play 3 Book Of Moon and 2 Enemy Controller. With all the removal and defense most decks will have a hard time getting rid of my gadgets and while they try to re gain the advantage they just lost I am setting up more things such as Doomcaliber Knight or Kycoo. The reason for Doomcaliber Knight bieng main decked is this format will have a hard time dealing with a 1900 atk monster first turn let alone one that can negate effects. So hows it been doing well so far against a few friends decks i have beaten them all without loss and playing Gladiator Beast proved to be no problem with the removal the deck has they wont have any monsters leaving their chariots to waste and their waboku's useless meaning small pushes with the Gadgets and combo's with the stun monsters. Either way this deck may change though as I still need to test out many other cards such as Spirit Reaper, Banisher Of The Radiance, D.D Warrior Lady and many others, but either way I'll have a fun time doing it.
Please also bear in mind I should be playing this at regionals aswell.

Ok so I was sitting around my house wondering what to play as my main deck this format. Junk and Debris get a huge boost with 2 Dandylion. Monarchs are good with 2 Cyber Dragons. E Hero Zero varients are amazing with their control but what do I really want to play. So i remembered how fun Beatdown Gadget was and then remembered the great feeling of bieng in control of a game with Royal Oppression, so after several hours of testing and finally getting the cards today from my local card shop.
