What Is This Nonsense ...... A Perfected Deck

Hey Guys

Ok so I recently got sick of people all copying the Quickdraw deck I was playing so I decided to give it up and play something different. So at the moment I have gone back to Absolute Zero but this isn't going to be for long. I wanted to play something original and this is by far an original deck.

So here it is, my version of the Herald Of Perfection Deck.

[3] Nova Summoner
[3] Herald Of Perfection
[3] Manju Of The Ten Thousand Hands
[2] Honest
[2] Caius The Shadow Monarch
[2] Djinn Releaser Of Rituals
[1] Archlord Krystia
[1] Chaos Sorcerer
[1] Morphing Jar
[1] Sangan

[3] Book Of Moon
[3] Dawn Of The Herald
[1] My Body As A Sheild
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Preperation Of Rights
[1] Giant Trunade
[1] Brain Control
[1] Heavy Storm

[3] Dimensional Prison
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Solemn Judgment
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force

Ok so basically the idea of the deck is to lock down the opponent with Djinn Releaser Of Rituals meaning that they can't special summon and then further lock them with Herald Of Perfection. The best part of this deck is you can be holding no fairy's yet the opponent will still fear this card. With 2800 DEF it's not easy to destroy it by battle and removing it with another card such as Brionac or Dimensional Prison again is useless with it's effect.

Overall I've tested this deck for a short while and overall the results have been more than pleasing. At the moment Krystia hasn't done much and I feel there is better cards to play such as a third Caius and Djinn or maybe Senju and Sonic Bird. Either way I'll be testing this some more. The more I test this deck, the more I forget why I thought this strategy would never work. Either way thanks for putting up with my non consistent posts and as always i'll cya next time.

QuickDerbisJunkFrogMonarch....... Long Name ...... Long List Of Monsters

Hey guys. Just wanted to share my latest creation with you. This was inspired by Lightgrunty, however a previous idea had been made at SJC NJ. Anyways putting it simply this deck just synchro's lots and has the amazing control engine of monarchs. So here is the list

[3] Raiza The Storm Monarch
[3] Caius The Shadow Monarch
[3] Quickdraw Synchron
[3] Junk Synchron
[3] Debris Dragon
[3] Substitoad
[3] Dupe Frog
[3] Swap Frog
[2] Treeborn Frog
[2] Roanintoadin
[2] Dandylion

[1] Pot Of Avarice
[1] Moray Of Greed
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Giant Trunade
[1] Foolish Burial
[1] Brain Control
[1] Heavy Storm
[1] One For One
[1] Cold Wave
[1] Scapegoat

Extra Deck

[2] Stardust Dragon
[2] Iron Chain Dragon
[2] Drill Warrior
[2] Nitro Warrior
[1] Junk Warrior
[1] Junk Archer
[1] Ally Of Justice Catastor
[1] Ancient Fairy Dragon
[1] Black Rose Dragon
[1] Brionac Dragon Of Ice Barrier
[1] Goyo Guardian

If you dont want to play the monarchs you can easily play flip flop frog and add in other cards such as morphing jar, sangan, battle fader and cyber valley. Either way this deck has an amazing control engine and has a similar feel to junk and debris. Although there are more monsters than a regular deck and it may seem weird this deck completely benefits from it. I dont really reccomend this that much for tournament play simply due to the lack of bieng able to side effectivly although you can side into a less monster heavy build if you so wish.

Hope you enjoyed this segment and like always enjoy.

Solid Sack Sams ..... Oh God I Just Got Sacked !!!!

Hey guys. After realising that Samurai couldn't cope with high Atk monsters and that they struggled without consistently getting Grandmaster I decided to try a new build of Samurai and it' working great.

[3] Great Shogun Shien
[3] Grandmaster Of The Six Samurai
[3] Six Samurai Zanji
[2] Six Samurai Irou
[2] Six Samurai Yaichi
[1] Six Samurai Nisashi
[2] Hand Of The Six Samurai
[1] Spirit Of The Six Samurai
[1] Enishi Shien's Chancellor

[3] Solidarity
[3] Six Samurai United
[3] Gateway Of The Six
[2] Book Of Moon
[1] Reinforcement Of The Army
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Heavy Storm

[3] Reckless Greed
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Solemn Judgment
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force

So basically this build usually gets an ok starting hand and thenthe 6th card makes it amazing similiar to how Lightsworn did it last format. This deck has lots of outs and can consistently beat down the opponent. At the moment my worry is that Book Of Moon isn't all that great except against Blackwing so I may drop them for 1 copy of My Body As A Shield and either a Reasoning or a Giant Trunade.

Either way I'll post about the results later on in my blog but for now this is just a short update on my deck.

Three Samurai's. Kinda Funny How People Call It Six And They Only Play Three

Hey guys I am officially off for Easter now and can continue blogging. Sorry about not posting once again. More and more things are coming up and I am just never finding time to sit down think of a topic and make an interesting blog post. Either way today's post is about my Six Samurai Deck.

Monsters: 18

[3] Grandmaster Of The Six Samurai
[3] Six Samurai - Zanji
[2] Six Samurai - Irou
[2] Six Samurai - Yaichi
[2] Hand Of The Six Samurai
[2] Spirit Of The Six Samurai
[2] Great Shogun Shien
[2] Cyber Dragon

[14] Spells

[3] Book Of Moon
[3] Six Samurai United
[3] Gateway Of The Six
[1] Reinforcement Of The Army
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] My Body As A Shield
[1] Brain Control
[1] Heavy Storm

Traps: 9

[3] Dimensional Prison
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Solemn Judgment
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force

Side Deck: 15

[2] Trap Hole
[2] Dust Tornado
[2] Starlight Road
[2] Pulling The Rug
[2] Mirror Of Oaths
[2] Nobleman Of Crossou
[1] Great Shogun Shien
[1] Six Samurai - Kamon
[1] Six Samurai - Irou

Extra Deck: 15

[2] Chimeratech Fortress Dragon
[13] Other Synchro Monsters

Ok so this is the new Samurai Build I made for this format. Basically this format is really good at the moment. There are chances for every deck to win from Synchro Cat to even Fortune Lady's. So why did I choose Six Samurai ?

I chose Samurai as they do the 3 things in yugioh that make a good competetive deck.

1] Thin the deck or draw - This deck does both with Gateway and Six Samurai United
2] Special Summon - Does this conistently and easily
3] Change pace very quickly - This deck can do that with a simple summon or draw.

Ok so the basics of the deck are simple. You summon monster's gaining advantage through Gateway of The Six and Six Samurai United. You then use the Samurai effects to gain more advantage and then push for damage.

My build is a little more conservative. Playing 3 Dimensional Prison over the commonly played 3 Reckless Greed and not playing a 3rd Great Shogun Shien. I don't play Enishi, Shien's Chancellor either as I feel he is not needed.

The side deck is designed to give you a better matchup against the more commonly played decks and to counter other people's side deck options.

Either way at the moment this has been testing very well and has beaten decks that my Gadgets usually struggled to over come so we will see if I main this over my Gadgets in the next few days.

Regional Report 27/03/09

Hey guys this is basically what happened today in my regionals that I went to in Nottingham.

So I get up making sure I have my main deck, side deck, extra deck and all other essentials. I then leave for Nottingham. A short 45 mins later I arrive at Chimera. So I sit down, borrow 2 Breakers and finish my deck list. Round 1 goes up and I'm playing Potato Ye.

Round 1

Gadget Vs Stall,Chrystia Burn

Game 1: Basically all my cards are useless as he kept setting monsters and stalling to which a point comes and I basically scoop after I played Solemn.

Game 2: I sided in the Nobleman Of Crossouts and Dust Tornado's ready to kill his deck. First turn Nobleman hits his Marshmallon and I basically push with the Gadgets for game.

Game 3: Ok so I drew bad and he stalls for a while with Messenger Of Peace and after that I finally top an MST to kill his Wave Motion but he Dark Bribes. I drew and played Brain Control on his Gellenduo and attacked for game.

So Round 2 goes up and I'm on table 1

Gadgets Vs D.D Eatos

Game 1: I dont know what im playing but he opened Stratos to search Alius and then he set a lot of backrows so I thought it was either Gemini City or it was D.D Eatos and I was right, it was D.D Eatos. I play Fissure and play a Gadget. Got the plus and he draws. He tries to push with Alius which gets Dimensional Prison'd. He then decides to scoop after drawing nothing. He reveals he topped a Eatos when I played Fissure on his Stratos.

Game 2: Basically the same as Game 1 but instead of Dimensional Prison he gets hit by D.D Assailant.

Round 3 goes up on I'm on table 4

Gadgets Vs Hamster Monarch

Game 1: So he sets a lot of monsters and I realise I am playing Hamster Monarch, he controls the game as I fail to top a monster. I eventually get a Cyber Dragon but can't beat his Caius.

Game 2: I sided in the Noblemans and basically opened with a Nobleman turn 1 on a Hamster. He doesnt draw a lot then I control the game with Tragoedia and he scoops.

Game 3: He basically can't top a monster and I keep going Gadgets after Gadget for game.

Round 4 goes up and I'm on table 3

Gadgets Vs Flamvell Cat (Jake Quinsee)

Game 1: I open with Thunder King and control the game. I push for damage with the Gadgets and he then tries to go Summoner Monk but I have Oppression.

Game 2: Same as game 1 but I overextend with a Solemn Judgment and Starlight Road on the back.

Round 5 goes up and I'm on table 1 playing my friend Jamie Bell

Gadget Vs Blackwing

Game 1: I get deck checked and get a game loss for not writing Black Rose Dragon on my Deck list.

Game 2: I basically come back from a big field loss and I win after puting out Doomcaliber when he Mirror Force's I play Starlight Road.

Game 3: I basically put him on low life, He gets a Stardust and I have no out. I then get Brain Control wait and then play it with a Starlight Road on the back. I try and push for game but he has Threatening Roar which wins him the game

Round 6 goes up and I'm on table 2

Gadgets Vs Hamster Flamvell

Game 1: He opens up good and I open Bad. Drew no defence and he keeps going Hamster and getting Ryko then Caius's me.

Game 2: I rip the nuts and basically kill everything and control the game with Solemn, Oppression, Dimensional Prison and Bottomless Trap Hole

Game 3: I open ok and so does he. We both get down to low life and we are both looking for a monster. He has 1250 life, I have 2300 so I set Solemn and end. He then passes, I draw and play Gale and attack he tries to book and I Solemn for Game.

So all in all I wet 5 - 1 and had a good day. I pull nothing good except Drill Warrior which I trade for a bunch of starship stuff including 2 Ulti Victory Viper XX03

Basically the list is the exact same as my previous deck but the side changed. I lost the Sirocco's and Light Mirrors and Twisters and Played Nobleman Of Crossout, Dust Tornado's And Breakers.

Space Ships WTH !!!!!!

Hey guys,

So I know in previous posts I said I was trying to keep posting more regularly and have not kept to this but this is due to again more college work and more things happening over the week. So today I am going to reveal probably one of the cheapest anti meta decks going around. Thats right Space Ships Wooooop !! Ok so let's get started.

Ok so first let me clarify this is basically my version of the build that topped SJC Nashville. Most numbers and cards are the same but some are different due to a new format and new ban list

[3] Shining Angel
[3] Blue Thunder T 45
[2] Lord British Space Fighter
[2] Victory Viper XX03
[2] Jade Knight
[2] Honest
[2] Cyber Dragon
[1] Morphing Jar
[1] Sangan

[3] Book Of Moon
[2] Creature Swap
[2] Enemy Controller
[2] Smashing Ground
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Limiter Removal
[1] Giant Trunade
[1] Heavy Storm

[2] Dark Bribe
[2] Royal Oppression
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Solemn Judgment
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force

Ok so that's the list so now lets try and explain some key cards.

The first key card is Shining Angel. Recruiters were big last format and are just as good this format. Shining Angel essentially can defend you or poke for little amount of damage, however where it really shines (get it Shining Angel ..... Shine) anyways yea where it shines is that it can search nearly any monster in this deck. It can allow us to search for a Space Ship ready for the following turn or even get Honest, meaning a big push for damage next turn.

Ok so now onto the Space Ships. Obviously Blue Thunder T 45 is played in 3's. Originally I played 3 Jade Knight and only 2 Blue Thunder but this deck does need a stable attacker and thats just what Blue Thunder T 45 does. Giving us free tokens we can swap away or even use for more damage is just too good. Along with that we next have Lord British Space Fighter and Victory Viper XX03. These pare are great as they can not only get us tokens but much more. Lord British can destroy face downs, attack again or give us that token we all love so much. Victory Viper XX03 can gain 400 atk or net a free token and if you happen to be playing a deck such as Six Samurai or any deck with face up spells or traps it can destroy those aswell. Jade Knight obviously can be used with Creature Swap, used for stall power, poke for little damage and then get us a new Space Ship.

Ok now onto spells. The spells basically allow us more control. Book Of Moon and Enemy Controller both do really well in this deck. They can be used defensivly or aggressivly to gain the upper hand on the opponent. Enemy Controller allows the tokens to be abused. One of my favourite combo's is to gain a token from a Space Ship then Enemy Controller it to take their monster such as Shura or Bora and then Creature Swap the Shura for their Armor Master. Pretty sneaky and not all that hard to pull off.

Ok the traps. Originally I wanted to use Dimensional Prison but after testing I found it was never really needed. The Dark Bribe's help us maintain those important back row's and also to stop those pesky Whirlwinds early game. Oppression is a mixed card this format. Amazing in the Gladiator Beast matchup and most others but a fail against Blackwing, however it is easily sided for those great traps known as Trap Hole. Finally we have our basic staples.

So thats the basic idea of the deck and the combo's. Simply put Yu-Gi-Oh has always been seen as an expensive game for the competetive player, but it seems more people are willing to fight this common conception of the game. This is one of the cheapest, fun and most competetive decks I have played and i reccomend it for all to try.

Now a quick up date on my happenings. I will be attending the Beeston Regional in Nottingham hoping to be one of the top 8 and win the X Saber Mat (mainly for my Friend). Once again the Gadgets will be played and hopefully a better day shall ensue. Anyways other than that I have almost finished 'blinging' out the Crystal Beast Deck I have.

Also be sure to check my Youtube Channel. I am determined during the Easter Period (next week and the following 2 weeks) that I get video's on my channel.

Once again I am sorry for not posting for a long time and hope you can all forgive me.

Regional Qualifier 07/03/10

Ok so I basically got up in the morning got a phone call from friends asking if I had stuff. I then drive down to the tournament hall and see people already preparing deck lists and side decks. I already did mine so I looked what they were playing and all I could say was RANDOM !!! After a few minutes a few more of my friend's arrive and we start testing. I test with my friend Elliot who was playing Blackwing. I basically kept gaining advantage while he struggles to find monsters in all the games we played but we hoped it was just against me he had bad luck. My friend Dan tests against my other friend Ryan's Gladiator Beast. Dan was playing Synchro Cat. A modified version of what he was playing at Lecister yesterday (which got 2nd). So after meeting with everyone and trading for a Yellow HL Gadget we see the pairings for round 1.

Round 1
Gadgets Vs Warrior Synchro

Game 1: He stalls with swords and tries to use Black Rose Dragon which I play Starlight Road. Swords is gone and i push with all Gadgets and Solemn Judgment his Draining Shield.

Game 2: He starts roughly the same. We basically keep setting monsters and eventually I Storm his backrow and start attacking. He stalls behind Marshmallon, I then top Smashing Ground. He plays Gorz later which I Lightning Vortex and he scoops moments later.

Round 2
Gadgets Vs Gadgets

Game 1: He is playing Dyna Gadget and I'm playing my build. I basically have bigger beaters and defense and win

Game 2: He wins due to an all monster hand

Game 3: I start off really well and keep it going. He decides to Caius my facedown D.D Assailant and I D Prison his Caius. He scoops after I drop a Doomcaliber Knight.

Round 3
Gadgets Vs Blackwings

Game 1: So basically putting it simply this game toke forever. I play my Gadgets and Stun monsters until eventually he tops a Sirocco with 2 Whirlwind's in hand and I lose.

Game 2: I basically open ok but he forces a lot of plays from me. I can't top a monster and when i do it's a Cyber Dragon which basically get's bottomless'd and I scoop.

Round 4
Gadgets Vs Hopeless Dragon

Game 1: He basically opens terrible and I open really good. I keep pushing for damage with the Gadgets and eventually force him to scoop after putting out 2 Gadgets, Thunder King Rai Oh and Doomcaliber Knight.

Game 2: He opens much better and I open similiar to game 1. He tries to do all this special summoning but he fails as I have an Oppression. He then tries to push with Storm but I have Starlight Road. A few turns later he scoops after getting bad draws

Round 5
Gadgets Vs Lightsworn

Game 1: I open really well and shut off all his cards. He torrential's and I play Starlight Road. He scoops later as he has no plays with 5 cards in hand.

Game2: I open terrible. He opens really well and I see he plays a Zombie Engine. After lots of drawing and playing 1 for 1 removal I scoop after drawing only 2 monsters in the game.

Game 3: I open similiar to Game 1. He opens much better and starts to win. I bring advantage back with my Smashing Grounds and then Doomcaliber forces a Mezuki play. After this he slowly gains advantage and I am Top Decking. He gets a Thunder King and a Goblin Zombie on field. I mill a card and then top a Gorz. I play Gorz and my Gadget. He has Honest and I lose.

Round 6
Gadgets Vs Gladiator Beast

Game 1: He opens really well I forget i have Dimensional Prison on my backrow and let a Laquari go through. He tags out which i flip Oppression and he plays MST. I then wait and he gets Bestiari. I top Storm and then play Cyber Dragon and Gadget. He then attacks and get's Darius and makes Gyzarus to which I play Starlight Road. A turn later he scoops up his cards.

Game 2: Similiar to game 1 however I play Smashing Ground, summon a second Gadget and then Starlight Road after he tries to Torrential. With only 2 cards in hand and nothing to set he scoops.

Round 7
Gadgets Vs Lightsworn

Game 1: I open really well. He Gold Sarc's his Judgment. I slow play and put out Thunder King the turn before Judgment is going to come out. He basically tries to play around by getting Catastor which I negate. He then plays Judgment Dragon and attacks. I play Smash and a Gadget and he scoops

Game 2: He basically sacks me with a Wulf and Celestia and I draw into Gadgets

Game 3: I drop Gorz mid game he tries to Celestia it and I have Starlight Road. I basically ask him if he can stop 4 attacks and he says no and scoops.

So thats the day. 5-2. There were 9 qualifying spots and i got 9th which is respectable for Gadgets. Plus I expected a much bigger amount of people playing Gladiator or if there were more I never played them. Either way thats the day and I'm qualified for nats so now can chill and relax.

This was the main deck I played at the Qualifier

2 Red Gadget
2 Yellow Gadget
2 Green Gadget
2 Cyber Dragon
2 D.D Assailant
2 Doomcaliber Knight
2 Thunder King Rai Oh
1 Blackwing Gale The Whirlwind
1 Gorz Emissary Of Darkness
1 Tragoedia

3 Book Of Moon
3 Smashing Ground
2 Fissure
1 Lightning Vortex
1 Enemy Controller
1 Brain Control
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Heavy Storm

3 Dimensional Prison
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Royal Oppression
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Starlight Road
1 Mirror Force

New Skill Drain Plants

Hey Guys I'm back today this time with a new version of the famous Skill Drain Plant Deck.

So this deck was originally made in Japan by Satoshi Kato and was designed to counter all the Synchro Cat decks. This then went on to win the 2009 National Championships. This was a great idea which led many TCG players to net deck the build while changing a few cards to suit TCG and their style. This today is the newest version of the deck which i have built and tested and all I can say is WOW. The decks draws really well and really makes the opponent worry. The fact this deck plays so many beaters and so many great stun monsters makes them wonder what they actually can do.

3 Beast King Barbaros
3 Doomcaliber Knight
3 Thunder King Rai Oh
2 Tytannial Princess Of Camellias
2 Lonefire Blossom
2 Cyber Dragon
2 Dandylion

3 Book Of Moon
3 Smashing Ground
2 Trade In
2 Pot Of Avarice
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Brain Control
1 Heavy Storm

2 Skill Drain
2 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
1 Call Of The Haunted
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force

Ok so what does this deck try and achieve. Putting it simply having high attack monsters with great effect that dont get hurt by Skill Drain. The deck utilizes Dandylion aswell serving as defense using it's tokens, however also allowing easy Barbaros plays aswell as Tytannial summons.

So this deck is fast and aggressive. I did test Royal Oppression and had good results with it so it is currently in the side board but can easily be placed in the main. Either way this deck has a great feel to it and can easily beat the top tier decks of this format.

Hope you enjoy this post and as always message me for more information.

P.S If you wish to main Oppression my thoughts would be to remove the Storm and Solemn for them as Storm is now worse due to the release of Starlight Road.

Sorry Guys For The Late Post But I'm Back Now !!

Hey guys, HuntikYugiohFan back again with a quick apology and update.

Ok so recently my studies have caught up with me a little and I needed to get them sorted as it is my last year at college before university meaning my work has to be top notch. Anyways more on topic of Yu-Gi-Oh, this past weekend I was able to test my new Gadget build I'm using for the up and coming qualifier on Sunday the 7th March. Hopefully with this new build and side deck, I should be able to get my invite along with some video footage. Hopefully I will be able to start uploading frequent videos again on my yugitube channel, aswell as all that I will also do a tournament report for you guys to let you know how I did and to make up for the lack of posts this week.

Along with my Gadget deck I also decided I would make either Crystal Bound, a deck focused on using the Crystal Beast engine and field spell to not only swarm the field and pull of crazy combo's using Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins but also dropping a big Earthbound Immortal limiting the opponents plays. For more information on this deck I recommend checking out LightGrunty's channel or I would re - build my Absolute Zero Deck. I also had thoughts about a Machiner Deck but after long and hard thoughts I felt I wouldn't get the enjoyment I would want from it. At the moment it is unclear as to which I would make, however it is clear to me that Gadgets will be my main.

So what have I got in store for my channel and this blog from now. Well with more free time on my hands I should be able to get videos more often meaning a better viewing pleasure for people who wish to view the video's on my channel. I will also be making a video of the regional event and hopefully get an interview with some of the players and possibly either the winner or top 8 participants. Not only that (bet you wish i had more weeks off now), but I'll also be doing a tournament report of the day. I'm not sure yet but this may be a blog entry and a video, however with only an hour to film, it may not be possible to film that. Either way your going to be getting a lot of cool stuff this next week and even more in my usual daily blog post.

Once again guy's sorry for not posting this past week and hope I can make it up to you with all this great stuff up and coming.

Trap Hole. Say Whaaaaaaat !!!!

Hey guys HuntikYugiohFan here once again with a new blog post. Today I want to talk about one of the best side deck cards in the game currently. That's right, Trap Hole.

Ok so recently I built my Gadget deck and felt it needed more removal in the Blackwing and Gladiator Beast matchup and I noticed one common thing with both these decks. They both like to attack in order to win. They both need a monster on field on use their cards. Examples of these cards are Icarus Attack, Gladiator Beast War Chariot, Black Whirlwind and many more. So how could I remove their monster while not losing much in other matchups and that when it hit me, Trap Hole.

Trap Hole destroys a summoned monster with over 1000 atk and sends it to the graveyard. This means that not even the pesky Blackwing Gale The Whirlwind or Gladiator Beast Retiari are safe. By maining a pair of Trap Hole's you can prevent Black Whirlwind searches, Gladiator Beast War Chariot plays and all the other annoying cards both these decks have to offer.

In my opinion this is also a great card in other decks, not just Gadgets. So start dusting off those side decked Trap Hole's and put them in their rightful spot in your main deck and believe me you won't regret it.

How To Prepare For A Yugioh Tournament

Hi guys HuntikYugiohFan here.

So recently lots of people in Yugitube and the various Yu-Gi-Oh forums have been talking about how to prepare for a tournament. So here is just a few tips and pointers for you when preparing to go to a tournament whether it be a local, regional or national event.

Firstly make sure you have your deck. On the topic of your deck makes sure you have the legal minimum amount required (40 cards). Make sure the sleeves you are using to protect your cards are of decent condition and are not different in anyway. This could be that 1 sleeve has a mark on the back or is a slightly different size or colour. Also make sure you also have your side deck sorted for the tournament. Nothing worse than not being able to side against those pesky match ups.

Obviously when going to a tournament you need a few supplies. This is what I like to take:

1) Deck Box containing deck, tokens, extra deck and side deck as well as extra sleeves just in case any of your main deck ones break or get damaged.

2) Pen and Paper. This may be supplied by your tournament but I take some anyways.

3) Calculator. This can be used to helo you with your calculations

4) A Drink. Tournaments can be quite long and may not supply food or drink so be prepared. Nothing worse than playing with an empty stomach and not being able to concentrate.

5) A Dice and a coin. This is usually good to have to decide who goes first. Not only that but also some cards require these.

6) English copies of foreign cards in your deck especially at locals. A lot of players may not know what cards do and it is your responsobility to be able to provide an english copy for the player to read.

7) Playmat. Playing on tables isn't all that great for your sleeves nor your cards so buy a playmat to keep your cards in tip top shape along with your sleeves.

8) Hand Sanatizer. This is something I think some people dont think about but remember it isn't just you handling your cards. You may wish to use this after you have eaten or offer it to another player. This usually doesn't cost that much and will again protect your sleeves and cards.

9) Trade Binder And Money. Always have spare cash just in case you need something such as sleeves or cards people are selling. It's also good just in case you need anything such as food or travel money.

So this is kind of a basic guide to what I think can help you prepare for a tournament. Another thing i would make sure is you know the rulings and working behind your deck as well as expected decks you are going to play. This not only saves time but also doesn't make you look like an idiot when playing.

So hope this helps people with their preperation for tournaments. Again guys anyone who wants any cards, decks or anything reviewed on myblog then please feel free to contact me.

Gadgets Galore !!!!!!

Hey guys HuntikYugiohFan here with a new deck list wooohoooo.

Ok so I was sitting around my house wondering what to play as my main deck this format. Junk and Debris get a huge boost with 2 Dandylion. Monarchs are good with 2 Cyber Dragons. E Hero Zero varients are amazing with their control but what do I really want to play. So i remembered how fun Beatdown Gadget was and then remembered the great feeling of bieng in control of a game with Royal Oppression, so after several hours of testing and finally getting the cards today from my local card shop. Here is what i cam up with.

[2] Cyber Dragon
[2] Yellow Gadget
[2] Green Gadget
[2] Red Gadget

[1] Magical Android

[1] Goyo Guardian
[1] Mist Wurm

Ok so as you can see this is Oppression Gadget with a lot of removal and defense. So what was I thinking when i built this. Well i thought about Blackwing and Gladiator Beast and how they have low defense, which led me to play 3 Book Of Moon and 2 Enemy Controller. With all the removal and defense most decks will have a hard time getting rid of my gadgets and while they try to re gain the advantage they just lost I am setting up more things such as Doomcaliber Knight or Kycoo. The reason for Doomcaliber Knight bieng main decked is this format will have a hard time dealing with a 1900 atk monster first turn let alone one that can negate effects. So hows it been doing well so far against a few friends decks i have beaten them all without loss and playing Gladiator Beast proved to be no problem with the removal the deck has they wont have any monsters leaving their chariots to waste and their waboku's useless meaning small pushes with the Gadgets and combo's with the stun monsters. Either way this deck may change though as I still need to test out many other cards such as Spirit Reaper, Banisher Of The Radiance, D.D Warrior Lady and many others, but either way I'll have a fun time doing it.

Please also bear in mind I should be playing this at regionals aswell.

INCA Deck Woooooop !!!!

Hey guys HuntikYugiohFan again.

Ok so recently my friend wanted 2 Gold Sarcophagus's, so i said i would trade them him for his newly formed INCA Deck. Due to this trade i decided to look into the archtype a bit more and have decided to share my ideas and card thoughts with you.

So lets get started

First off we have Oracle Of The Sun. 1000/2000 isn't really all that for a 5 star monster but with the ability to be special summoned when you control no monsters and your opponent controls monsters, thats what makes this card good. Not only does he make summoning the 2 dragons much easier but when he is destroyed you can search either a Fire Ant Ascator or a Supay from your deck. This is great however i feel it would have been much better if it had a more sangan like effect where it worked if you sent it to the graveyard as more than likely you are going to synchro with this card, however its effect will be used and you'll see how in a moment.

Next we have the two tuners Fire Ant Ascator and Supay. Lets start with Supay. Ok so Supay has to be used to make Moon Dragon Quilla. Supay is a Lv1 tuner monster with 300/100 stats. The card is never going to be on the field for long. You will either you this as a discard cost for others monsters in the deck (such as The Tricky which works really well) or you will synchro with it the turn you summon it. This and a Lv5 monster makes an instant Moon Dragon Quilla. So by special summoning Oracle Of The Sun and normal summoning Supay you now have the Moon Dragon Quilla ready to go. Its effect is good against a few decks because when it is destroyed by a card effect you can special summon Oracle Of The Sun from your deck. The atk is doubled and returns to the owners hand. This sets you up for another synchro summon. Next we have Fire Ant Ascator, this like Supay, has to be used for the dragon, but this time Sun Dragon Inti. Fire Ant Ascator is a Lv 3 tuner monster. It has 700/1300 stats which again arent all that like Supay, however the same logic applies as Supay. This card will either be used for a synchro summon or used for a discard cost (again The Tricky could be used). Fire Ant Ascator's effect is similiar to that of Supay's, however it differs slightly in that Fire Ant Ascator has to be destroyed by battle. It then can special summon a Lv5 monster from your graveyard. its effect is negated and it is sent to the graveyard in the end phase. This means you could revive Oracle Of The Sun, Cyber Dragon or The Tricky.

Apocatequil is by far my favoruite monster in the deck. Its a Lv 4 monster with 1800/1200. Its effect is great, if you control a face up tuner monster you can count this monsters Lv as 5. This makes it much easier to summon the Dragons now along with its second effect of when it is destroyed and sent to the graveyard you can special summon 1 Oracle Of The Sun from your graveyard. This again like all others makes this deck very searchable and workable in many different matchups.

Lastly we have the dragons. Moon Dragon Quilla and Sun Dragon Inti.

Moon Dragon Quilla has 2500/2000. It requires Supay and 1 or more non tuners. When it is selected as an attack target you gain life point equal to half the attacking monster atk. If it is destroyed, you can special summon 1 Sun Dragon Inti from the graveyard. So first off it has repsectable stats for a Lv 6 monster and has a pretty good effect. With the focus of the deck it shouldnt be too long before this is out and you get the cycle of the dragons going.

Next we have Sun Dragon Inti which has 3000/2800. It requires Fire Ant Ascator and 1 or more non tuners. When it is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, destroy the monster that destroyed this card and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the atk of that monster. If this card on the field is destroyed during the standby phase you can special summon 1 Moon Dragon Quilla from your graveyard. So obviously quite a good effect the only downside to this monsters effect is it gets back Moon Dragon Quilla during the standby phase and not right away.

So thats the INCA archetype. My thoughts on how to play the deck are pretty simple. Play this much like an instant synchro deck and you should have the speed needed to pull this deck off. Only problems this deck really can counter is Brionac Dragon Of The Ice Barrier returning the dragons to your extra deck. Anything also that removes 1 of the dragons from the graveyard such as Soul Release, D.D Crow and Gladiator Beast Retiari can cause problems. With simple side decking and smart plays this could be a force to be reckoned with, especially with the format coming up and dont forget the tuners can also be used for your standard synchro's such as Stardust Dragon and Goyo Guardian

[3] Supay

The Ban List And Flamers

Hey guys it's HuntikYugiohFan back again for some more blogging.

Ok so recently I have seen so many ban lists its hard not to visit a yugioh site and see one. People always spend most of this week looking for the OCG ban list forgetting TCG could differ although we usually follow the same list they do. However I feel our list could be different as we already have Brionac Dragon Of The Ice Barrier at 3 in TCG while at OCG it is limited to 1 copy per deck.

For those who have been paying attention to sites revealing apparent lists, you may wish to know that the actual V Jump Magazine is not released until the 20th of this month. This information is thanks to lightgrunty who I thank for telling us on his blog. This doesn't necessarily mean predicitons arent welcome but it does mean an official list will not be released until this date.

So onto the topic of flamers. I don't know why people spend time looking at lists only to say they are fake. Yuginewz.com has previously posted lists that have usually been the correct list or near correct with very little mistakes in the past, however is it right that we flame him for posting a list earlier than is scheduled? Is it also right that we flame someone for trying to predict the list or post their thoughts on the list?

Putting it simply what is my advice:

1] Wait for the official list posted on Konami's site
2] Do not presume the OCG list will be the same as the TCG list even though it has followed it in the past
3] Don't go on sites trying to predict the list just to later flame them. You may feel they are wrong so why waste time telling them how you feel. They more than likely won't care what you think.

So there's my advice. Sorry for a slightly negative post however it is something i felt needed to be said.

Zero Control

Hey guys, HuntikYugiohFan back again with a new post.

Ok so in this post I'm going to be showing you my new Absolute Zero Deck. This has tested so well so far and is currently my main deck. So here is the list

Monsters: 17

[3] Deep Sea Diva
[3] King Of The Swamp
[3] Elemental Hero Ocean
[3] Elemental Hero Woodsman
[1] Elemental Hero Captain Gold
[1] Elemental Hero Neos Alius
[1] Elemental Hero Sparkman
[1] Elemental Hero Stratos
[1] Spined Gillman

Spells: 15

[3] Book Of Moon
[3] Polymerization
[3] E - Emergency Call
[2] Miracle Fusion
[1] Reinforcement Of The Army
[1] Mystical Space Typhoon
[1] Heavy Storm
[1] Skyscraper

Traps: 9

[2] Threatening Roar
[2] Interdimensional Matter Transporter
[2] Bottomless Trap Hole
[1] Call Of The Haunted
[1] Torrential Tribute
[1] Mirror Force

Extra Deck: 15

[3] Elemental Hero Absolute Zero
[2] Elemental Hero Gaia
[1] Elemental Hero Terra Firma
[1] Elemental Hero Plasma Vice
[1] Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman
[1] Brionac Dragon Of The Ice Barrier
[1] Ally Of Justice Catastor
[1] Black Rose Dragon
[1] Stardust Dragon
[1] Colossal Fighter
[1] Goyo Guardian
[1] Mist Wurm

Ok so the general strategy is similiar to that of an elemental recycle deck. By using Woodsman we can recycle polymerization and use ocean to recycle our zero's back into the extra deck along with adding back E hero's that we have used for fusion summons. By the time your opponent finds a way to kill Zero you usually have a set for another one right after meaning Zero will always be on field. The Deep Sea Diva engine is also good. Giving this deck access to synchros is important. With zero bieng our main monster and with only 2500 atk we sometimes need something a little bigger or with a better effect and thats why Diva is so good. Not only is it a water we can use for Zero but also gives us easy acces to Brionac and Goyo along with Catastor.
Now to explain the combos

Combo *1 (my favourite): You set Woodsman and end your turn. The opponent summons a Shura and attacks the facedown Woodsman who gets flipped face up. The opponent takes 2oo damage and ends their turn. You then draw and add polymerization during your standby phase.
After this you summon Deep Sea Diva and special summon a Spined Gillman. You synchro the Diva with Woodsman into a Brionac. You then play polymerization sending an E hero and Spined Gillman for Zero. You then bounce back Shura and attack for 5300 damage and even more if you have a Miracle Fusion. The same can be done but using a Goyo Guardian if so wished and you dont even have to use Gillman. It could be a second Diva if you wanted. If you are really lucky you could make a Colossal with 2 Diva's and if you have a water and E hero in hand then fuse for Zero leaving you with Colossal or any other 8* synchro monster and Zero.

Combo *2: You have a Woodsman, Zero and Ocean out on field with 1 set card. Your opponent plays several monsters to try and get rid of all 3. You then play Interdimensional Matter Transporter on Zero destroying their monsters meaning during your standby phase you get a Polymerization and an E hero back from the grave.

Combo *3: You have Zero on field they just swarmed you but did not attack so you play Polyerization using Zero and an E hero to make a second Zero activating the first Zero's destruction effect.

Combo *4: You play Polymerization using Sparkman and King Of The Swamp and make a Zero. You then play Miracle Fusion to make Plasma Vice. You discard a card to destroy their monster and attack for 5100.

So these are just a few combo's with many more you can do with this deck. I would like to say this deck has great matchups against Zombies and Blackwing however not so great against Gladiator Beast but with so little being seen these days you shouldnt worry too much. At the moment possible changes to the deck are that i play a 3rd Interdimensional Matter Transporter over the 2 Threatening Roar and this will give me a space to play either, Future Fusion, Brain Control, Lightning Vortex, Giant Trunade Or The Warrior Returning Alive.

Either way i hope you enjoyed reading about this deck and can't wait to hear your thoughts on this and again plese feel free to try this deck out for yourselves.

Hey Guys HuntikYugiohFan back again

Ok so this is my third post today, i really am enjoying this blogging and hope you all are too but enough about myself and the Anime lets get into the juicy stuff. My current thoughts about the game.

Ok so for post i want to talk about the ban list and things i feel should happen. This is not what is going to happen or what i predict will happen. This is that given the choice to make the ban list, what would i do.

Ok so first lets luck back at this past format. So to begin with we saw the death of synchro cat and otk's. We all thought this would be the end of the fast paced format. Little did we know we would be going into a format where to win all you needed was money and a small child to operate your deck. Yes i am talking about the infamous lightsworn deck. This deck has won multiple shonen jumps now and countless locals and regionals since the format change. In the U.S it hadn't won any major championships since the change but here in the U.K it had won national championships aswell as UKAYpro championships. So further down the line we finally get hidden arsenal and a few new synchros that were really gonna change the game. First we got catastor and mist wurm giving us a new level 5 monster who was better than android and a level 9 other than gottoms, but we also got the already OCG limited Brionac. Crazily enough they felt it was good to leave the card at unlimited here in TCG. So we saw the uprise in zombies now with a way to dump mezuki and easily make synchros it was fast becoming the new tele dad deck. It finally makes a name for itslef but once again falls short of the championship title. Since SJC L.A many players have been experimenting with Elemental Hero Absolute Zero beleiving it to be techable (if thats even a word) in zombies and any deck that plays 1 or 2 waters. This led to the crazy jump in price for silver rare miracle fusion from it bieng £2 to £10 - £15. How crazy !!!

Ok so first lets solve the lightsworn problem

Judgment Dragon becomes limited. With this card limited there is less threat of a OTK. So often bottomless, wing blast and various other removal cards are used on other monsters such as lyla and celestia meaning your own decks runs out of steam as they get the Judgment Dragon. By putting it to 1 as soon as the Dragon is removed its gone, meaning lightsworn have to find a new way to win before decking out.

Charge Of The Light Brigade becomes limited. This card is a rota on steroids so why is it that charge remains at 3 while rota at 1. Charge is too good and sets up the whole deck pretty much, and the argument of they dont open with charge all the time is a floored argument. All we need to do is watch videos on youtube of the deck and count how many times charge has made the hand playable.

Next the problem of Zombies

Mezuki becomes limited. This card should never have come back to 2. With 2 you open the deck up to crazy combo's and the use of burial from the different dimension. At 1 we shut of the crazy combo's and slow down the deck to a reasonable pace.

Golbin Zombie becomes limited. Goblin makes the deck too consistent and easily abused. Like mezuki this card at 1 forces the true zombie players to think outside the box.

Brionac becomes limited. Brionac is good and makes a lot of decks better and has a fair effect and by limiting it, it simply stops people abusing it.

Next Blackwings

Black Whirlwind becomes limited. After much thought i consider this a good card and by limiting it you force the player to think more about the plays. Limiting whirlwind doesnt hurt them as much as you would think as the deck still works by itself similiar to how lightsworn still work without 3 charge. By limiting it players will be less likely to open with the card aswell as make the player think twice before playing it on the field.

Burial From The Different Dimension becomes limited. This basically shuts off the vayu turbo strategy that players would try to abuse especially with my change in the restricted list.

Lastly my altercations to the restricted list

Dark Magician Of Chaos becomes limited. DMOC has no real deck it can go in nor does it have a spell to be abused such as monster reborn anymore it is also a out to synchros and gives spellcasters a monster that could push them to the top of tier 2.

Crush Card Virus becomes limited. Since its mass release in turbo pack i feel this card should be limited. It gives both players the comeback and with so very little targets in the top decks now it wouldnt be as great as it once was and the fact it is readily available means all players can use it not just the rich ones.

So thats my thoughts. Again may i point out this isnt my prediction it is what i would do if i had control of the ban list. Either way hope you enjoyed reading this and it gives you some insight into what other players want to happen.

Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Episode 96

Ok so we start this episode by learning that the new engine for Yusei and the gangs D - Wheels is done and the company which belonged to Bolger has helped to finish the final product. They call their WRGP team ........ Team 5D's. Yea like that wasn't expected. Anyways it seems that teams get time to practice and after Crow becoming to excited over the new engine he causes an accident with Team Unicorn (their first round opponents in the WRGP), but not is all as it seems as we find out it was all but a plan to lure Yusei into accepting a duel to repay them for the damage and a chance for them to see his deck and strategy. They start the duel and after a few short turns Yusei uses Junk Archer to seemingly get the upper hand but its short lived as his opponent starts to abuse green baboon and nimble momonga which allows him to gain such a field prescence it looks like our hero is doomed to lose.

So yea this episode was pretty boring up until the duel however it kinda gets a little annoying knowing that Yusei will some how win the duel even though to win against this guy's field prescence you would need to top the Judgement Dragon while having 4 Lightsworns in grave. Anyways kinda cool knowing that the WRGP is coming up soon which i hope to be more than just 3 or 4 episodes but for some reason i doubt it will give us a full duel. More like highlights of each game and then probably half a semi final and then the full final. Anyways thats it for this post.

Hope you all enjoyed reading and look out for my next post about the next format

The Beginning Of A New Era. A Yugilicious Era !!

Hey guys this is HuntikYugiohFan of youtube.

I decided its not always suitable for me to make videos on my channel and with no place for local players to play as often as is required to make consistent videos aswell as most my friends or team mates often being busy, I have decided to start a blog, posting my thoughts and unique ideas. So far in my videos i have not expressed my originality in deck building so hopefully i can show this through my blog aswell as ideas and thoughts you can all have the pleasure of reading about.

So What Will I Talk About ?

I will talk about such things as

1] Current state of Yu-Gi-Oh and talks about the meta
2] Unique deck ideas aswell as interesting combo's yet to be shown
3] Talk about the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Anime
4] Sneak preview pulls and wants
5] Tournament reports

and many more things just to say a few

So What Is The Purpose Of My Blog ?

Originally it was meant to replace my channel as i havent posted new video's since last year but i feel i can link the two together like many other Yugitubers. The new purpose for this blog is for people to enjoy my thoughts on the game and ideas for decks. Most days i write down decklists for interesting decks i could make and hopefully these can be shown in my blog for all players to try

So What Is My Background ?

Well i started Yu-Gi-Oh way back when the show was first here in the U.K. The Kaiba and Yugi Deck had just been released and i started my journey from there. After a break of around 2 years i met tournament players who showed me the enviroment and i have never looked back since. My goal as a competetive player was to win but with the decks no one had seen before. Putting my own spin on decks i liked and coming up with original ideas for the game is what i enjoyed most. Topping with such decks as Zombie Skill Drain, Plant Skill Drain, Deep Diver Plasma, Monarch Lockdown and many others, it gave me great achievement winning with these decks even they had been made before, it was my version which made winning that much more special.

What Are My Current Deck's ?

At the moment my main deck is undecided due to a new build i made yesterday of my favourite deck.

My decks consist of at the moment

1] Junk And Debris In Space
2] Elemental Hero Absolute Zero Synchro (e hero version)
3] Gravekeeper Monarch
4] Koaki Meiru Box (my version of lightgrunty's core control)

So I realise this is a long post but i wanted you all to get an idea of my ideas of the game and what you can expect in my next blog. Hopefully i will be able to post on here everyday about something new, whether it be a decklist, an idea or just thoughts on certain cards.

Look forward to future blogs and comments from you all
